Incredible terrace and top-notch pétanque court!

Near the Bourse du Travail (Labor Exchange) and Carrefour, what was once a traditional Alsatian tavern back in the days of the Central supermarket is now a sort of back alley where tobacco is still smoked. Prices are a bit higher than at the PMU (betting shop) and other bars in the Place du Marché area. As for the food, judging by the taste, preparation, and presentation, it's clear it wasn't made by anyone with any real culinary training. It's nothing like what other Loire Valley brasseries near Château Creux offer. The selection is limited, with fries that look like they came from a frozen food store like METRO, the cheeses are typical low-end, and the desserts have the texture of mass-produced goods. As long as alcohol attracts customers and isn't taxed too heavily, it might survive with some entertainment, but tourists interested in local heritage won't hear of any possibility of dining in this dive. The wine and beer selection is decent. The service is generally quick. It's important to be realistic and read the reviews, which are generally positive; it's quite clear they were posted by regular customers. This wouldn't necessarily provide a meaningful rating for people looking for a genuine brasserie with decent food or for visitors seeking an interesting local experience.
