Les serres Babylone

Despite having made a reservation 48 hours in advance, no table was available, so we were seated at a small garden table, completely unsuitable for a meal. We weren't there for drinks. I insisted that we had a reservation. The waiter's response was, "Everyone has a reservation." No apology, no attempt to make amends, just a lot of disdain. Naturally, we left. It's a shame; we were planning a family gathering later. The staff showed absolutely no class.

After having run aground too many times in dingy dives and other classy dives... That evening, I preferred to search, in some veil of smoke and the force of distant tides, via a Google Maps application, for my destination* and stumbling block. * "Babylon in a greenhouse," a destination that wouldn't have been out of place on the maps of mediums or in the invisible structures of a Berossus or other Babylonian astronomer... But. The verdant setting is sumptuous and the decor perfectly appropriate. The welcome was warm and the service most courteous. The dishes were excellent and the wine of high quality. The soundscape was perfectly in tune and the seating equally comfortable. * Like a relic of ancient, verdant Mesopotamia, on Avenue des Barques...

Very nice place, beautiful decor, good food, affordable price.

Beautiful setting, tastefully decorated. Large covered terrace. Easy parking. A lovely place for a drink.
